Camp Quad - May 2003

Mr. Behm teaches Project First Class skills to new Scouts.

Looks like some of them are being  bored to sleep.

Mr. Howard teaches axe yard safety and fire building skills.

And the new Scouts practice what they were taught.

At the trailhead of the Monches-Funk Road section of the Ice Age Trail.
The start of a 5 mile hike that included nature study.

At the lunch stop - a bridge over the Oconomowoc River, about 2 miles into the hike.

.

A mobile home tent?  Some Scouts setup in the wrong campsite and had to move on Saturday

The Scouts cleaning up after a meal - just a little grumbling, not too bad.

Campfires are one of the best parts of camping - warmth on a cool night, and snacks!
