Tyler Howard

Tyler's Eagle Project was to help the DNR control purple loosestrife, a non-native invasive plant that destroys wetlands.  He planned and directed the efforts of several Scouts in harvesting purple loosestrife plants from an affected marsh for use as a habitat for beetles, raising beetles on these plants, and then placing these beetles into a marsh area in Hartland.  The beetles then multiply and destroy the purple loosestrife over a period of several years.
